Thoughts from the day...

Every time I look at the element Be, Beryllium, it makes me think of Berylia, the zips, her fruit trees, westcliff, driving to school, and the goobs.

Mushroom Links...

I have not looked at any of these links yet but my Mushrooms, Mold, and Society professur posted them for study material. And they are probably a good substitute to the slideshow because the slides dont have much information on them.

Top 5 Favorite Places To Be

In no particular order:

Westcliff, there is no better place to go hang out with friends than on or below Westcliff.

On the lava in the ocean in Hawaii with beautiful coral reef just 10 feet out in the ocean and palm trees on the beach and a soft warm breeze in the air.

Loon Lake, on the grass reading, playing card, or on the float with friends and family.

Skiing. ooh makes me so happy.

Paris.

Two Things... and a Third

I enjoy the unisex bathrooms. Gay men are good at keeping it clean. And all of us using the same bathroom just makes us more of one big happy family.

There is somthing seriously wrong with the world...

I've gone to the gym to work out 2 days in a row..... eek!

Third:
We have many empty beds on the rainbow floor. There are 4 double rooms that each only have one person; one never shows up, 2 transfered because they were on the rainbow floor, and another left because her roomate didnt talk to her. In my quad room one roomate will soon be moving out I believe. About a week ago she found out she was on the rainbow floor and immediatly told her roomate, "Dont love me!" Apparentally her dad does not want her to catch the gay and I have a feeling shes not too into the gay floor either.
So pretty much our floor kicks ass. All the people who dont want to be here leave and we are left with the gay men, and straight men, along with me, another lesbian, and an awkward transexual.
PLUS we have the only unisex bathroom on campus. The second floor girls have to go to the 1st floor to use the bathroom and the first floor guys have to go to the second floor.

And now...

I'm gonna go lock myself in the laundry room and do chem homework. weeeee!!!!!!!

My First VERY Hard Writing Assignment

This is for mushrooms, mold, and society. although today i leared that mold has no real scientific meaning, its just what we call fungus with no obvious fruiting body.
anyway.. here is the assignment, i think its gonna take me days...

First assignment
Due 10/11/06
Approximate length one page, double-spaced

After winning the lottery you decide to buy a nice house in the forest and spend your days taking long walks and thinking about the nature and purpose of life. In your wanderings you have an opportunity to observe many things. Give an example of one or more observations you might make that would allow you to develop a hypothesis. State the hypothesis in a form you consider to be testable. Then describe at least one simple experiment you could undertake to test your hypothesis. The level of detail can be similar to the experiment I described in class involving the squirrel and the mushroom. Be sure to include all the essential elements of a good experiment, as covered in class. Describe how you would use the results of your experiment to assess the validity of your hypothesis. Lastly, indicate whether or not the results would be applicable to the natural world in a general way or if they would be limited to the specific circumstances associated with your experiment.

The Weekend.

So… Friday night was pretty fun. I had calc from 5-6, and then I ate dinner with Jeff and then hung out in his dorm room for a while. My calculus teacher cracks me up. He looks like a student; today he wore a green hurly shirt, a button down shirt sleeve over that, unbuttoned, cargo shorts, and vans; his hair is straight and long, past his shoulders by about an inch, and to top it off he has a slight Scandinavian accent, his name could probably be Sven and then I would just laugh out loud. I think most other people think the class is boring, but I’m just entertained by watching him, I think his name is Bob.
Anyway, Friday night was the white party. It was quite an event, I went with my roommates, some of their friends, and Jeff. They actually left me in our room because they left and I was still on the phone telling Steven how to get to Davis because I told him he should come up and visit and he said okay.
But the white party…. You had to wear white, and you had to have an ID, there was an MIB being a bodyguard, and there was a line to get in. The beer ran out pretty early, but the dance floor inside was CRAZY! Okay well to finnish the outside part if you looked at the back fence there was a line of guy pissing, it was funny that there was always at least 5 or 6 standing there, all in white shirts. Inside they had blacklights, which looked awesome with the white shirts. But it was SOOOO packed, you had to swim through the people. Bob would have had a heart attack. It was really really hot and steamy and almost impossible to walk through; Emily and I were entertained by just trying to get in, and then trying to get out again. We met some random people and ended up hanging out in their dorm once we got over the party. Then Steven got into town around like 2 and the next day everyone slept in late. Then we wandered around and ended up walking to In N Out to get dinner. I have walked more this past week than I walked all summer. That night we ended up at a party in the same house, it was a LOT smaller. The house is only like 2 blocks away, its XO. But it was nice being at a party with Steven, we laughed at people as the white boys tried to dance. I’ve found that being a girl is a wonderful advantage when trying to get drinks. We stayed at that party till late and then came back to the dorms and apparentally Jeff, Laura, and Emily all slept in the same twin bed, it sounded like a party. It’s pretty funny just about the whole floor, since they all like guys, has a crush on Jeff—he lives in a completely different housing complex. Steven and I also got to laugh at Jeff because around here he doesn’t get mercilessly made fun of and its funny to see people taking him seriously instead of cute little Jeff.
Sunday was a day of doing nothing, I did some homework, sat around and hung out with Steven and that was about it.
And now I’m done writing, I’m gonna maybe study but probably just go to bed, I’ve got class at 7:30 tommorow. Wooo.
I will post my schedual later.
